Eric Dalmata is the owner and artist of Rabbit Shack Glass.  Eric began working with glass in 1994, and received his formal training from the New York State College of Ceramics, School of Art and Design, at Alfred University.  Since then, Eric has been working with other glass artists within the Colorado Front Range and has been continuing his training throughout all aspects of the medium including traditionally blown glass from the furnace, torch worked borosilicate, casted, fused, and stained glass.

While Eric draws inspiration for his designs from ancient Italian techniques, his color patterns are more influenced by nature and the colors of the changing seasons.  “There is a certain connection with the world around us, the way that hot glass behaves, and the things that it teaches you”, he claims.  “What I appreciate about blowing glass is that it’s a very unique, organic experience that ultimately forces you to submit to the flow of something quite out of the ordinary.”
